InvoiceAce keeps invoicing lightweight: no accounts, no centralized storage. These Terms outline what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you use the Service.

Short version: Use the generator responsibly, keep your own backups, and comply with the laws that apply to your invoices.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using InvoiceAce ("the Service"), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and InvoiceAce. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

InvoiceAce is a free, browser-based invoice generator that lets you create and download invoices without creating an account. All editing occurs locally in your browser.

The Service includes:

Invoice creation and editing tools
Custom themes, branding, and layout controls
PDF export options with print-ready formatting
Local draft history to reopen previous invoices
Multi-currency and tax settings

3. Use of Service

3.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service to:

Create legitimate invoices for personal or business purposes
Download unlimited invoices for record keeping
Customize branding and layout for your clients

3.2 Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for fraudulent or illegal invoicing
Generate misleading, false, or deceptive documents
Reverse engineer, copy, or modify the Service codebase
Automate usage in a way that degrades performance for others
Remove or alter branding, copyright, or attribution notices

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Accuracy: Ensuring invoice details are truthful, complete, and legal
Compliance: Meeting tax, accounting, and reporting rules applicable to you
Security: Protecting your device and browser where invoices are edited
Backups: Exporting and storing invoices you need to keep as we cannot recover lost data
Permissions: Ensuring you have rights to any branding or logos you upload

5. Intellectual Property

All Service content, including design, code, templates, and branding, belongs to InvoiceAce and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Your content: You retain ownership of invoice information you enter. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host and display it solely for providing functionality.

6. Privacy and Data

InvoiceAce is built to minimize data collection. We do not store invoices on our servers. Review the Privacy Policy for full details.

Key points:

All invoice editing happens locally in your browser
Draft history is saved to your device; clearing storage will delete it
We may show Google AdSense ads on marketing pages but not in the generator
You are responsible for exporting invoices you wish to keep

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR AVAILABILITY.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will meet your specific requirements
The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Invoices generated comply with all local laws or client requirements
Data loss will never occur; please export critical invoices

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INVOICEACE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

This includes damages arising from:

Your use or inability to use the Service
Errors or omissions in invoices you create
Legal, tax, or compliance issues connected to your invoices
Data loss resulting from device issues or clearing browser storage

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InvoiceAce, its founders, and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features for maintenance, security, or performance reasons.

We reserve the right to:

Update or remove templates, exports, or interface elements
Introduce premium functionality while keeping core invoicing free
Temporarily suspend the Service to address technical issues

11. Free Service & Future Pricing

InvoiceAce is currently free to use. We may launch optional paid add-ons in the future, but any changes to pricing will be announced in advance.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, misused the Service, or engaged in illegal activity.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws without regard to conflict of law principles.

You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts where InvoiceAce operates for any disputes arising from these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect product updates or legal requirements. Changes take effect when posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use means you accept the revised Terms.
